Police are still searching for a suspect, and say the fire was not arson.
The Ontario Provincial Police’s Integrated Fire Investigation Team (IFIT) has been called in to help investigate.
St. Joseph’s Airport was evacuated for nearly 24 hours following the blaze, and is now closed until further notice.
The airport says it has received no reports of suspicious activity.
The Canadian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) said a fire was reported at the St. Joe’s Airport, and an investigation is ongoing.
The incident is not believed to be suspicious.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
In the wake of the 2016 fire at the airport, St. Peter’s Airport and other Ontario airports had to be evacuated.
